Beschreibung

„Cubes“ oder auch Würfel zu stricken macht mir viel Freude! Das Muster wirkt durch seine Licht- und Schatten Effekte. Eine dekorative Kordel bildet den Abschluss vor dem rechten und linken Rand des Gestricks, diese ist auch auf der Rückseite schön durch meine „Spannfäden-Maschen“.

Bei diesen Schals empfehle ich einen starken Kontrast der Wollfarben. Du hast die freie Farbwahl bei den Garnen Aurora & Alvor. Im Paket sind insgesamt

• 400 g Alvor (50 % Leinen/ 50 % Wolle) – 200 g in je Farbe A & Farbe B
• 100 g Aurora (70 % Mohair / 30 % Mohair) – 50 g in je Farbe A & Farbe B
• Anleitung ist in PDF-Format zum selbst Herunterladen. Der Originalschal ist in Farbe Natur & Khaki.

• WICHTIG

  für ein schönes Ergebnis solltest Du mit verschiedener Fadenspannung stricken können, gerne zählen und Dich gut konzentrieren können. Lass die Finger von diesem Muster, wenn Du zum Relaxen stricken möchtest.

Was braucht man zusätzlich?

• Rundstricknadeln in Stärke passend zu Deinem Material: 60 cm Länge reichen, wenn Du den Schal von der Schmalseite strickst, strickst Du von der langen Seite aus, rate ich zu einer Länge mindestens 80 cm.
• sehr lange Rundnadel oder mehrere kürzere für die umlaufende Icord am Ende: alle in der gleichen Nadelstärke passend zu Deinem Garn
• dünnere Hilfsnadel zum Maschen aufnehmen
• rostfreies Spannwerkzeug- und Matte
• Maschenmarkierer und Wollnadel
• Restfaden glatt (z.B. Baumwolle)
• 1 Häkelnadel für den provisorischen Anschlag

Möchtest Du nicht doppelfädig stricken ?

Nutze dünnere Nadeln. Der Schal-Rapport wird dann etwas kleiner. Oder suche Dir andere Garne aus dem Sortiment aus: es gibt viele Kombinationsweisen, die ich bereits ausprobiert habe. Früher gab es das Strickpaket in vielen Varianten. Dazu findest Du hier einen Artikel. Auch zu veganen Garn-Kombinationen habe ich einen Artikel verfasst. Bestellvorgang:

• Originalgarn & Farbe: bestelle ganz normal hier das Paket in Originalfarbe. Die PDF- Anleitung des Strickpakets sende ich Dir per Mail, wenn das Garn das Atelier verlässt.
• Hast Du Wunschfarben der zwei Wollsorten Aurora & Alvor (siehe dort) , bestelle ganz normal hier im System das Paket und schreibe im Warenkorb beim Bestellvorgang welche Farben (mit genauer Farbnummer) Du von Aurora & Alvor möchtest. Möchtest Du anderes Garn, kontaktiere mich bitte per Mail unter .

Sendest Du das Garn zurück, erstatte ich 99 €, da Du die Anleitung bereits heruntergeladen hast.

Mein Tipp bei Reihen von über 200M:

nutze eine Rundnadel mit Wechselspitzen. In der rechten Hand hast Du die Nadel in der richtigen Stärke, in der linken schraube ich 1-2 Stärken dünner auf. Pro Reihe wechsle ich die Spitzen, dass immer in der rechten Hand die richtige Nadelstärke ist. Was ist der Vorteil? Wenn man in meiner Festigkeit strickt, rutschen die Maschen leichter auf die linke Nadeln, viel leichter für Hand- und Schultergelenke.

Stricken der Hebemaschen in Schatten-Technik macht Spaß:

ein zweifarbiges Ergebnis, beim Stricken hat man aber immer nur einen Arbeitsfaden in der Hand. In den dunklen Doppel-Reihen/ -Runden erscheinen die hellen Maschen durch Abheben der Maschen der vorigen Doppelreihe und umgekehrt in den hellen Reihen/ Runden die dunklen Maschen. Zwischen dem Abheben gibt es nur rechte und linke Maschen. Durch Ihre Anordnung gibt es ein Spiel von Hell und Dunkel.

Knitting „Cubes“ is a lot of fun for me! The pattern is beautiful because of its light and shadow effects. A decorative cord finishes off the right and left edges of the knitting, and it looks lovely on the reverse side thanks to my „float stitches.“

For these scarves, I recommend a strong contrast in yarn colors. You have complete freedom of choice with the Aurora & Alvor yarns. The kit contains a total of 400g of Alvor and 200g of Aurora, and the pattern is available as a downloadable PDF I send via Mail. The original scarf is in colours: natural & khaki.

What else do you need?

• Circular knitting needles in a size appropriate for your yarn: 60 cm long is sufficient if you’re knitting the scarf from the short side; if you’re knitting from the long side, I recommend a length of at least 80 cm.
• Very long circular needles or several shorter ones for the i-cord at the end: all in the same needle size to match your yarn
• Thinner cable needle for picking up stitches
•  Stainless steel blocking tool and mat
• Stitch markers and a tapestry needle
• Scrap of smooth yarn (e.g., cotton)
• 1 crochet hook for the provisional cast-o

Don’t want to knit with two strands held together?

Use thinner needles. The scarf repeat will then be slightly smaller. Or choose other yarns from the range: there are many combinations that I’ve already tried. My tip for rows with more than 200 stitches:

Use a circular needle with interchangeable tips. In your right hand, you have the needle in the correct size, and in your left hand, I screw on a tip one or two sizes smaller. I switch the tips for each row so that the correct needle size is always in my right hand. What’s the advantage? When knitting at my tension, the stitches slip more easily onto the left needle, which is much easier on the hands and shoulders.

Knitting the slipped stitches using the shadow technique is fun:

a two-color result, but you only ever have one working yarn in your hand. In the dark double rows/rounds, the light stitches appear by slipping the stitches of the previous double row, and conversely, in the light rows/rounds, the dark stitches appear. Between the slips, there are only knit and purl stitches. Their arrangement creates a play of light and dark.

IMPORTANT

For a beautiful result, you should be able to knit with varying yarn tensions, enjoy counting, and have good concentration. Avoid this pattern if you’re looking for a relaxing knitting project.
