Hier seht Ihr Schatten-Illusionstechnik in der schlichtesten Form: gestrickt wird in Doppelrunden. In der erste Runde wird jeweils rechts gestrickt, in der zweiten Runde wird rechts oder links gestrickt. Die linken Maschen wirken dominant, da ihre „erhabenen“ Schlingen Schatten auf die rechten Doppelreihen darunter und darüber werfen. Bei dieser Mütze entsteht der Hell-Dunkel Effekt, da das Barett in sechs Segmenten gestrickt wird:
- im 1., 3. und 5. Segment ist die Effektfarbe dominant, d.h. hier wird in der 2. Runde links gestrickt während die Grundfarbe nur Glatt Rechts gestrickt wird.
- im 2., 4. und 6. Segment ist die Grundfarbe dominant, d.h. hier wird in der 2. Runde links gestrickt während die Effektfarbe nur Glatt Rechts gestrickt wird.
Der kleine Zipfel oben ist eine kurze Icord über die restlichen 3 Maschen. Diesen Zipfel kann man auch weglassen. In der Anleitung sind beide Alternativen beschrieben.

Here you can see illusion-shadow technique in its simplest form: it is knitted in double rounds. The first round is with knitted sts, and the second round is purled or knitted.The purled stitches appear dominant because their „raised“ loops cast shadows on the stockinette double rounds below and above.
This hat creates the light effect because the beret is knitted in six segments:
In the 1st, 3rd and 5th segments the effect colour is dominant, i.e. here the 2nd round is purled while the base colour is only knitted in stockinette stitch.
In the 2nd, 4th and 6th segments the basic colour is dominant, i.e. here the 2nd round is purled while the effect colour is only knitted in stockinette stitch.
The small tail at the top is a short 2 cm icord over the remaining 3 stitches. You can also leave out this tail. Both alternatives are described in the instructions.
