Anleitung: „Gabis Echo“ Tasche/ Größe variabel/ Beispiel in Nadelstärke 5/Strickanleitung/Strickfilzen/ Alpengarn von Ferner Wolle

Nun kannst Du Dir in „Gabis Echo“ ein komplettes Outfit stricken aus Schal, Mütze und Tasche.

Wie die Mütze empfiehlt sich die Tasche als Einsteigervariante um das schöne „Gabis Echo“ Muser zu stricken – es gibt keine zweifarbigen Zu-oder Abnahmen, auch siehst Du immer wie das Muster entsteht – denn – das Muster lebt von der Schattenwirkung der linken Masvhen – und die entstehen bei einem Dreieckschal in den Strickreihen der Rückseite – hier strickst Du aber in Runden ;-).

Als Techniken kommen vor:

• Stricken in Hin- und Rückreihen des Bodens
• Maschen aus dem Rand aufnehmen und um die Ecke stricken
• Halbpatent
• Hebemaschen- und Schattentechnik gemischt
• Abschluss-Icord über 2 Maschen

Ich habe zunächst mal eine Tasche in „Handtaschengröße“ gestrickt (und auch gefilzt), denn ich hatte noch keine Erfahrung mit der Alpengarn“ von Ferner Wolle – und bin höchst begeistert!!! Schon immer fand ich es toll, dass man hier die Wolle von österreichischen Schafen in den Händen hält, die Firma bekommt die Wolle direkt von verschiedenen Schäfern – wesentlich weniger CO2 Abdruck!

Maschenprobe im Echo-Muster: 1o cm x 10 cm = ca. 19 M x 36 R gestrickt mit Nadelstärke 5

von jeweils einem Knäuel Rosa und Grau ist so viel übrig, dass Du auf jeden Fall die Halbpatentreihen jeweils doppelt so hoch stricken kannst, oder Du strickst Dir Henkel, einebn Verschluss oder einen Gurt. Für weitere Rapporte brauchst Du 2-3 Knäuel pro Farbe.

Was brauchst Du noch?

• 2 Rundnadeln in Nadelstärke 4 oder ein Nadelspiel und eine Rundnadel in Nadelstärke 4 (hier spielt die Länge der Rundnadeln keine Rolle)
• 1 Rundnadel oder Spiel in Nadelstärke 5
• 1 Wollnadel
• eine lange Hilfsnadel in kleinerer Nadelstärke 2-3 zum Maschenaufnehmen aus dem Rand.
• 1 Maschenmarkierer
• ein z.B.Hemdenkarton zum Aufspannen der Tasche zum Trocknen.
• Waschmaschine, falls Du die Tasche filzen möchtest

Trotz Wäsche bei 60°C ist die Tasche nur wenig geschrumpft – die Struktur des Musters ist komplett erhalten. Noch stabiler (und kleiner) würde sie erst bei einem Kochwaschgang. Die Maße dieser Tasche sind vor dem Filzen/ nach dem Filzen platt gedrückt liegend:

Oberkante: 34 cm/ 32 cm

Höhe: 24,5 cm/ 22 cm

Diese Tasche ist 8 Rapporte weit und nur ein Rapport hoch, in der Anleitung sind auch die Angaben für eine Tasche aus 10 Rapporten und 2 oder 3 Rapporte hoch.

Die Maße sind dann:

Oberkante: 42,5 cm/ 40 cm

Höhe bei 2 Rapporten: 45,5 cm/ 41 cm

Höhe bei 3 Rapporten: 66,5 cm/ 60 cm

Now you can knit a complete outfit in „Gabi’s Echo“ consisting of a scarf, hat and bag.

Like the hat, the bag is recommended as a beginner’s variant for knitting the beautiful „Gabis Echo“ pattern – there are no two-color increases or decreases, and you can always see how the pattern is created – because – the pattern lives from the shadow effect of the left stitch – and in a triangular scarf they are created in the knitting rows on the back – but here you knit in the round ;-). The techniques used are:

• Knit in back and forth rows of the floor
• Pick up stitches from the edge and knit around the corner
• Half patent
• a mixture of slip stitch and shadow technique
• Finishing icord over 2 stitches

First of all, I knitted (and also felted) a bag the size of a handbag, because I had no experience with the „Alpengarn“ from Ferner Wolle – and I’m extremely excited!!! I’ve always thought it was great that you can buy and knit the wool from Austrian sheep, the company gets the wool directly from various shepherds – significantly less CO2 footprint!

Stitch sample in the echo pattern: 1o cm x 10 cm = approx. 19 sts x 36 rows knitted with needle size 5

There is so much left over of each ball in pink and gray that you can definitely knit the half – patent rows twice as high, or you can knit handles, a clasp or a strap. For further repeats you need 2-3 balls per color.

What else do you need?

• 2 circular needles in needle size 4 –  or one set of needles and one circular needle in needle size 4 (the length of the circular needles does not matter here)
• 1 circular needle or a set of double pointed needles size 5
• 1 wool needle
• a long auxiliary needle with a smaller needle size 2-3 for picking up stitches from the edge.
• 1 stitch marker
• For example a shirt box to stretch the bag out to dry.
• Washing machine if you want to felt the bag

Despite being washed at 60°C, the bag has only shrunk slightly – the structure of the pattern is completely preserved. It would only become even more stable (and smaller) with a boil wash cycle. The dimensions of this bag are before felting/ after felting I took the measurements while pressing the bag flat:

Top edge: 34 cm/32 cm

Height: 24.5cm/ 22cm

This bag is 8 repeats wide and only one repeat high. The instructions also contain information for a bag with 10 repeats and 2 or 3 repeats high.

The dimensions are then:

• Top edge: 42.5 cm/ 40 cm
• Height with 2 repeats: 45.5 cm/ 41 cm
• Height with 3 repeats: 66.5 cm/ 60 cm
